This wikispace is a place for the action research community to share teaching strategies, questions, resources, or ideas around supporting or conducting action research. It is the interactive mirror site to the
, and invites you to develop tools, strategies, ideas, and dialogue around the practice of doing and supporting action research.This wikispace is for students, faculty and others in the action research community.

1) An Open (Free)
on Action Research
Action research helps you to become a more powerful version of yourself, able to enage others in a process of continual learning and change. The course is made up of 12 Tutorials each with a short video to watch, a set of activities to complete (with linked writing templates for writing activities), and resources to support the completion of the activities.
The goal of creating these materials is to "flip the classroom" so that learning about action research is done outside of the collaborative learning space so that valuable collaborative time can be used support the action research ideas of each person in the group or class. I have finished the first draft of this course, however I will be returning to revise the materials. Feel free to share links that might be useful in your work or your efforts to support other action researchers. I will be returning the second half of this website where there is more open sharing.
2) An Action Research Neighborhood for Sharing Ideas about Teaching Action Research
This is a space where you can
share your Action Research Syllabus
and ideas for teaching and supporting action Research. I am returning to this area and doing some editing to make it less redundant with the course. You are invited to add your ideas to these pages. The history button keeps track of page versions so we can restore pages if anything goes wrong (so don't worry). Over time, we hope that our collective minds will provide a supportive environment for those who are engaging in a formal process of action research as well as those who want to make action research a habit of mind
You can use the discussion tab to start a discussion about anything you read in either part. . Also, you can have the site notify you (by email) when a specified page, or the whole site, is modified. These pages will be developed for use by those who are engaged in action research or supporting action researchers and are monitored by Margaret Riel (firstname.lastname@example.org), Pepperdine University. Feel free to join and work out your ideas on the wiki pages or to start a discussion.

3) Action Research Outcomes
In this part we ask for your observations, analysis, and reflection from doing action
research. You can invite members from the community of people who were involved in your action research to add their reflections as well. If you are a professor and you have a site where your students post their work, feel free to add a link to that site. The more we know of these collections, the more we can help new students formulate plans for their action research.

I have just added the 10th tutorial on the iterative cyclic notion of action research. It is called cycles of change and will help you think through how to move
from one cycle to the next. I hope you find it helpful. I have only two more tutorials to complete the free online self-directed course in action research.
I might be able to get one done in Dec and the last one in Jan.

I have just completed tutorial 8- Analyzing Data. This was difficult as it is hard to provide enough information to get started with data analysis in 12 mins.
I hope you find it useful and would enjoy hearing if it helped you or if there things that I should have addressed. New ideas help me think about what is
the best support. One idea that Katherine Kote suggested was to have writing templates so I am going to do that. I hope it will be helpful.

The first day of the
Action Research Network of the Americas Conference
took place today and was a great success. Everything work smoothly,
the keynote by Jean McNiff was excellent and all of the sessions generated a great deal of discussion and interest.
Cadre 15 will be presenting their action research on June 18 and 19th. It will be webcasted and information will be posted when it is available.
